About Acupressure

Acupressure, sometimes described as acupuncture without the needles, applies finger pressure to special points on the body. These acupressure points were traditionally found to promote relaxation and wellness.

Participants will warm up with qigong or tai chi exercises, then learn a practical self-acupressure routine. The skills are simple but effective, and applicable in daily life. Those who work with acupressure often report benefits such as relaxation, a feeling of wellness and flow.

The class is suitable for both beginners and those who are more experienced. We will learn not only the hands-on routine, but also focus on quality of touch, self-awareness and depth of relaxation.

I studied acupressure with Wonchull Park, Wuwei Taichi School, and at the former Acupressure Institute and McKinnon Body Therapy Center in the USA. My approach focusses on the Daoist philosophy of "wuwei" (doing without doing), naturally allowing optimal health, peace and relaxation. Complementing acupressure, I teach also taichi and qigong and workshops in wellness.

The class is limited to 4-5 participants. Please complete the registration form and include payment to book your place, preferably before 6/5 to ensure the class is viable. Once we have minimum numbers, I'll confirm the class. Thank you.
